Belhaven Visitor Centre Achieves 4* Visit Scotland Status

Belhaven Brewery Celebrates 4 Star Status for Visitor Centre

The Belhaven team has cause to celebrate this week with news that the Brewery’s Visitor Experience has been given 4 Star Quality Assurance status by VisitScotland – reflecting an excellent customer experience in the eyes of their expert tourism assessors.

Having only opened its doors in 2021, this is a huge win for the brewery team, who have worked hard to bring the story of their historic ‘home of Scottish brewing’ on East Lothian’s golden coastline to life in a personal, engaging and entertaining way.

Fiona Matheson, Belhaven Brand Manager said: ‘We are bursting with pride to have received such good news about our beers and our brewery visitor experience this month. So much hard work goes on behind the scenes and both accolades are a tribute to our teams and the dedication and passion they bring to everything that we do here in our Dunbar home. As the summer months approach, we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to the brewery to enjoy the experience we have on offer along with a taste of some of our internationally-winning beers.’

VisitScotland Regional Director Neil Christison added: ‘Congratulations to Belhaven Brewery on achieving a 4-Star QA Award. Belhaven Brewery has been a fantastic addition to the tourism offering in Dunbar and East Lothian since they first started welcoming visitors for tours in 2021. This is a fantastic achievement for this business which reflects their commitment to providing an excellent customer experience and insight into the workings of Scotland’s oldest working brewery’.
